It is located in the southwest of Rwanda towards the border with Burundi\, South of Lake Kivu and West of the Republic Democratic of Congo.\nThis beautiful green forest is one of the oldest rainforests in Africa with rushing streams\, sun-starved valleys\, tree-filled mountains\, dappled savannahs and extensive swamps which create a home for myriad species.\nNyungwe is a wonderful option for visitors wanting to see some of Rwanda’s spectacular endemics\, its 13 primate species\, and of course\, to experience a chimpanzee trek to view one of its semi-habituated troops. It is also a place of active adventure\, with hiking and cycling trails\, exciting Canopy Walkway\, and the enchanting Ndambarare and Kamiranzovu waterfalls.\nNyungwe is also a birds’ paradise with around 300 recorded species\, 30 of which are endemic to the Albertine Rift region.\nOn the other hand\, Lake Kivu is one of the African Great Lakes lying between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. It is part of Albertine Rift\, the western branch of East African Rift. Lake Kivu empties into the Ruzizi River that flows southwards into the Lake Tanganyika. Our youth were explained about ecological justice in practices.
